Adopt a Tree

Trees are the backbone of nature. Project Elysium is Gaia's biodiversity project.

You can be a part of this project by adopting your own tree. For just €14 (Lm 6.01) you can add a tree to the Maltese landscape, and to the world. The Gaia Foundation will propagate the tree, plant it, water it and maintain it. In the event of loss, the tree will be replaced. Your name will be added to the list of persons adopting trees, placed on our website, and at the Elysium Visitor Center. Print an Adopt-a-Tree form and send it together with your payment to the foundation's address.

:: Become a Volunteer!

Placements are available on both a short-term and a long-term basis for local or foreign volunteers on most of our projects.

Opportunities range from designing leaflets and information boards to guiding tourists around our project sites, helping out in our organic field, giving a hand with the tree planting and seed gathering and assisting our wardens on beach watch in the summer months. Past volunteers have also been involved in setting up, updating and translating our website and in gathering data for our site management plans.

If you can only spare an occasional hour or so there's always loads to do around the Elysium Tree Nursery helping with native tree propagation or with tree planting on Saturdays.
