A lawyer with experience in commercial and environment law, Rudolf moved out of an established law firm to set up the Foundation in order to develop hands on and holistic environment management projects in the coastal zone. He has also been active with the Friends of the Earth Movement.

An accountant by profession, David is currently the CEO of the Portman International Group. Portman International is a leader in the financial services industry in Malta with offices in Malta and London and is also a member of the TIAG and TAGLaw world network of professional firms - He is a co-founder of the The Gaia Foundation.

A&CE


An architect with Architects Studio, Adrian has been on the Board of Administration since 2001. His professional experience, as well as that in graphic design and all things creative, is a great asset to the Foundation. Adrian is well known as one of the founders and stalwarts of the Fund raising charity Voices.

A landscape planner, Sindy joined us to take over the coordination of our Project Elysium, which focuses on landscaping, biodiversity and the management of biotopes, plant propagation and the organisation of nature trails.

Gaia’s computer and design whiz, Daniela designs Gaia’s website, information panels, brochures and newsletters, and therefore helps to coordinate our project Hermes.

Sandra handles general administration and book keeping, and helps to keep our office somewhat afloat.

A born farmer, Joe's knowledge and experience is helping to develop Gaia's organic project. Joe's energy also allows the foundation to implement biodiversity and tree planting projects, as well as to carry out patrols and wardening work.

With extensive experience with a private garden, Ms green fingers runs our Elysium nursery, which houses around 12,000 indigenous plants.

John
Hinton


Electrician, plumber, welder and former military man. John's work varies from setting up irrigation systems to wardening the managed sites.

Due to Joe’s carpentry skills the foundation’s woodwork is all done in house. This includes shading for our young saplings, and information panels.

Delphi


Our intelligent and friendly watch dog, who works hard at night, or so she claims, and sleeps all day.

Nuby


Named after Anubis, our Dalmatian considers working as beneath her station. She does however occasionally bark at visitors to the centre, most notably ones wearing baseball caps.
